Andrew is a biophysicist who has been involved in EME bioeffects research since 1985. He is also currently working on the modelling and measurement of energy absorption patterns in tissue in relation to new technologies, particularly 5G. He has been a member of relevant ARPANSA and WHO working groups, addressing policy RF and ELF health policy issues. He is currently President of the Bioelectromagnetics Society and an Editorial Board member of the journal ‘Bioelectromagnetics’. He is also a member of the Scientific Expert Group of ICNIRP. He has supervised several PhD projects to model induced fields and currents in the human body in response to mobile phone and power frequency fields. The Dosimetry Group at Swinburne include Associate Investigators Dr Steve Iskra and Dr Rob McIntosh as well as Ray McKenzie. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow is Dr Alireza Lajevardipour and Dr Zoltan Vilagosh and Chathura Keerawera also form part of this group.
